Welcome to Red Poppy Studios!

Thanks for stopping by our blog.

Red Poppy Studios came from the creative passion that sister-in-law's Alyse Fisher and Brenda Fisher share. We wanted a way to express ourselves, capture memories and have fun together doing it!

From the very first moment we met – on the golf course with our
husband’s to be –  we had an instant connection that has grown stronger
over the last eight years. We have developed of love of photographs
that tell a story and started this business so that we can tell other
peoples stories. We are working mothers and wives who know that moments
you share with your family are important and should be documented
because the moments fade quickly. Pictures help to keep memories
vibrant and alive and we want to share our talent and help others
enhance their lives through photography like ours has been.

We offer high quality, beautiful photographs at a price that
everyone can afford. Let us help you capture the moments in life you
can’t get back, document your children’s lives in vivid details and
preserve your memories for ever. We are based in Salt Lake City but can
travel anywhere for a small fee.

We hope you enjoy our photos and find our site inspiring.

Love,

Alyse Fisher and Brenda Fisher

Kristen and Dustin | Taking the plunge | Part one

Kristen and Dustin are our go to couple for unforgettable pictures and this shoot was no different! We wanted to capture their fun and fearless personalities and I think we did that for sure. These two were such great sports about coming to the pool early on a Saturday morning and for agreeing to jump in with their clothes on! If you’re interested in fun and different pictures, send us an e-mail. We have lots of fun ideas for the fall.

Enjoy these pictures, more to come later this week!

Kristen’s Bridals | Part Two

Kristen was an absolute beautiful bride and we had a blast taking her pictures at Farnsworth Farms. She was such a good sport and we all had a great time. Enjoy!

Kristen Bridals

We got the opportunity to shoot bridal shots for Kristen last week.  Farnsworth Farms in Sandy was kind enough to let us use there orchard.  They have always had great family activities there but now we love them for a whole other reason.  Kristen’s classic beauty really added to the shoot and it made it so much fun!

Mia part two

Here is part two of our fun photo shoot with Mia. Doesn’t she look like a Cabbage Patch Kid? She was seriously fun and we had a great time hanging out with her and her mom Tara.

Mia part one

We took pictures of Mia downtown at Exchange place.  She has just turn one and is a delight.  We had so much fun and I think she did too!

Baby Piper’s California photo shoot

We had the pleasure of taking Piper’s baby photos and had such a great time. Piper lives near Newport Beach which provided for the perfect working vacation! Piper’s mom Jaime is an old friend and part of the Hacker clan (whom we love VERY much). Enjoy her photos, she is such a lovely child.

Check this out!

I (Brenda) have known Rachel Hare (now Mason) since high school in Colorado and I love this girl! She lives in Kansas City now and has a great blog about life, all things vintage and a sprinkling of everything else you could be interested in. She has a great shop on Etsy where she sells her vintage finds. Red Poppy Studios is one of her sponsor’s on Rachie’s Place and we’re proud to be there!

We are also sponsoring a drawing for a free photo session to celebrate our new collaboration with Rachie’s Place. Leave a comment about your favorite blog post before April 30 and we’ll enter you into a drawing. The photo shoot will be done in Utah unless other arrangements can be made.

Tell us your favorite product or post Rachel has done. You will have a blast searching through her blog.

Erin’s Birthday Photos

We had such a wonderful time during this session and little Erin is a lucky girl. Her parents took her to get her hair done for her shoot and she’s wearing her mom’s pearls. She was a lot of fun and we both think a modeling career might be in store for this little stunner! We also got a few really cute family pictures for them too since they hadn’t had any taken recently. It was a great day with great subjects. We can’t wait for next year!

Easter Pictures

We were a little worried when it was snowing and raining on Friday but the sun came up on Saturday morning and it was beautiful! The pictures turned out beautifully and we love all those who came out on their busy Saturday.

We plan to make this an annual tradition so don’t miss out next year!

Our session started with baby Hendrix – the cutest darn boy we’ve ever seen! He was so cute and smiley!

Next came Wes and Claire. We’ve known Wes since he was just a baby and he is growing into such a handsome young man. Claire was having a moment that day but what a stunning girl she is.

Last but not least, is Mark and Makensie. These two belong to our sister-in-law Jennifer and we love them like crazy!

The Fisher grandkids – aren’t they cuties? We think so!

A huge, special, warm, loving, big hug for Debbie Hacker and her girls Jenny and Tracy – thanks for supporting us, we love you guys! Red Poppy is officially taking a vacation next week and taking T.J., Danae and Bridget to Disneyland! If you know of anyone who wants pictures in California, please let us know!

Happy Easter everyone!

Nicole – Class of 2011

We love, love, love Nicole and not only is she beautiful, but funny and sweet too. She’s a total package, this one! Nicole is also dear to our hearts because she is Brenda’s cousin and our very first Senior Ambassador for 2011! We are looking for one or two guys and gals from each school to be a Senior Ambassador. SA’s are great because they get their senior session free and any friends they refer to Red Poppy earns them a $10 gift certificate to their favorite store. We will have more information about becoming a SA in April so stay tuned for that!
